With a hydrorepellent formula, it protects and ensures durability for new woods

Eucatex Stain offers high performance and maximum technology in the treatment and protection of external and internal new woods. Its differentiated formula is hydrorepellent and it penetrates in the wood fibers without forming a film, which prevents possible cracks, peeling or the appearance of bubbles. It is indicated to protect and decorate wood houses, doors, windows, wainscoting, decks and decorative woods in general. The satin finishing enhances even more the natural veins of the wood and, together with the solar filter present in the composition, it ensures unequalled durability.

Satin finishing

Repellent to water, modified alkyd polymers, vegetable oils, aromatic and aliphatic hydrocarbon solvents, alcohols, tensoactive agents, organometallic dryers, inert minerals, pigments and bactericide agents, fungicides and algicides. It does not contain benzene.

  • The practical yield can vary due to the method of application, geometry of the structure, rugosity and absorption of the surface, thickness of the product layer deposited, atmospheric conditions and application technique;
  • For the Mahogany and Imbuia colors, we recommend applying 3 coats at least. This is necessary to attain the tone desired as the varnish, being a translucent product, tends to undergo interference from the tonality of the wood where it is  applied;
  • If Varnish or Synthetic Enamel has been applied to the wood where this product will be applied, there must be total removal with Eucatex Remover Gel to apply the Eucatex Stain;
  • In cases of resinous woods and/or contamination, bathe them successively with Eucatex Thinner until the complete decontamination of the wood.

According to ABNT NBR 13.245.

  • Preparation: the surface must be firm, cohesive, clean, dry, without dust, fatty materials, and mould.
  • Surfaces with gloss: they should be sanded until they are completely matt before starting to apply the varnish.
  • Surfaces with fatty stains: they should be washed with a solution of water and neutral detergent. Then, rinse them well, wait for them to dry and apply the product.
  • New woods  not dry: they must receive successive applications of Thinner until the complete elimination of the natural resin of the wood, which can damage the paint.
  • New dry woods: sand the surface to eliminate splinters and remove the residue. Apply Eucatex Stain directly on the wood.
  • Repainting: remove loose parts, sand for the complete removal of the previous finishing until reaching the wood and make a new application.
